Winchester
And if we invented it, so what? It's a tool of worship. It still celebrates Christ's ressurection, and it worked to depaganize the world to the extent that most existing pagan religions are comedic recreations of Glenda the good witch trilling about earth spirits and triple goddesses. I assign you this task, Bruce: learn the purpose of worship, and learn content from the accidents of words.
CatholicAndFanatical
That verse applies to sin, not to MANDATED feast days by God.
That verse refers to anything that Peter wanted to mandate in the Church he was to be the head of. This includes Dogmas, Traditions, and Sacred Scripture. It was the Seat of Peter that approved the final compilation of Sacred Scriptures done by St Jerome. If His Authority was only with sin, then we would have no Bible today, or at least a complete one.
