That is pretty close-minded.
Assume much? You know what they say about assuming...
zabbazooey
If you opened your mind to the possibility that God exists, wouldn't that make you an agnostic?

OraProMe
Okay, then I will modify my previous statement and say that condoms (or birth control itself) objectifies both the woman and the man. It reduces sex to an activity of pleasure. Both the woman and the man are "protecting" themselves from having a child, because neither party (a) wants that responsibility or (b) wants to have a child with that particular person. Therefore the woman - or the man - is reduced to an object of pleasure for self-gratification.
Or the couple could love eachother, want to physically express this love but not neccesarily want a child. Even if the Church's position sounds good on paper (open to life, procreative, in the image of God) it really isn't practical for a lot of people. Raising children takes a lot of time and money and most people cannot financially support 5, 6, 7 and up kids. But I guess a hierarchy made entirely of celibate men without families to support may not understand this. You should read Angela's Ashes, they have a similar experience.
