Oh he can have more than one name. I think he's given me four by now, all variations of my screen name.

Well of course he is right sometimes . . . even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Alas, this thread, like the others involving Storm, tends to jump all over the place, and really accomplishes nothing of value.

Okay, this is what Storm TRIED to say in Post #70. Not sure why he messed up the quote function:

You are not inspecting Catholic theology, you are warping it and making it say what you WANT it to say. Plenty of Phatmass members have already provided examples of you removing text from a quote so that it sounds good to your ears.

There are two Bible verses that completely destroy your "faith without works" argument. Taken from the New American Bible:

Matthew 16:27, straight out of Jesus Christ's mouth: "For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct."

Matthew 25:24-36, again spoken by Jesus Christ: Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.' When the faithful souls question Christ - "when did we see you naked" etc. - Christ will reply: And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.' (That is from Matthew 25:40) Christ will judge us on our WORKS.

Dear Child....

Did I or did I not say on this thread that the Protestant is not trying to DESTROY or eliminate works from faith?!
They never have denied it and never will. Why are you condeming me then? You're condemning me on a theological position you DO NOT UNDERSTAND, so quoting the above is completely pointless.....as if I am adhering to some sort of "la-de-da, all I have to do is believe in Jesus, and now let me see.....what grocery store can I rob today?"
I will not engage you in this conversation because my discussion on justification elsewhere in the debate forum is covering this issue thoroughly (posted once every Thursday) and I advise you to read it before embarrassing yourself any further. If you want to take a issue FROM that debate and request clarification, YES, I will answer that, but not simply the bare assertion that the two verses above "destroy" my faith without works argument, because they certainly do not. It's quite hysterical to me that every time I quote Scripture and history, I am always suspect, but when YOU quote the Bible, the subject is closed and you expect us to crown you queen for day.

:)

What Stormstopper needs is a good editor to keep him on track.
