Well, I will point out that by my count, there have been no less than 8 distasteful comments directed toward a new member of the phorums. Regardless of whether or not the avatar is immodest, the conduct of some men in this thread is unbecoming. I am certain that these comments were meant in jest, but I don't believe that they were necessary, especially seeing as they could have been easily misconstrued as sexual harassment by a complete stranger over the internet.

I see nothing wrong with either the comments or St. Bernie's photo.

I would be hard pressed to interpret anything that has been said as anything other than very mild flirtation, although perhaps St. Bernie feels differently.

Me either. If her picture is immodest then most of the shots of my pregnant belly would have to be considered immodest or down right distasteful as well. For goodness sake she isn't showing off stuff that she shouldn't be. I see no cleavage, tummy, etc. We must also keep in mind that while some cultures recommend covered shoulders, not all do and nor do they find an uncovered shoulder immodest. And judging from her profile she's definitely from a different culture than the majority of us. For example, I'd be the last person to tell a lady in Africa that she can't wear the clothes she is wearing (which often times isn't much) because I think they're immodest. I think it's a rather beautiful picture and one that is very tasteful (not immodest).
