I don't like the thought that I might go to Hell. I realize that if I am sent there, the fire and suffering I endure will surely be great but there will be no greater sorrow and pain than the full knowledge that I could have prevented this and that I will be eternally separated from God.

*shutters* I don't want that to happen.

Many speculate that this is actually the worst suffering one has in hell, that they know they are there only by free choice and they could be spending eternity with God. I've also heard speculation that hell is like being trapped in a block of ice and seeing the face of God far off but because you can not go to him it causes even greater pain. Basically the idea is that the worst sufferings of hell are not feelings of burning flesh, but separation from God.

Ive read this pamphlet before and liked it very much(Hell exists and we might go there). Thanks Father for presenting the reality of Hell to your sheep but not overpresenting it.

What about the seperation of heaven and hell being such that people in hell cannot hold a thougth of God? That people in hell cannot pray since the seperation is so vast and perfect they lack the very knowledge of God Himself?
