CatholicCid
Greetings in Christ! I had heard it said by a reliable source the other day that you may receive communion twice in a day under two conditions. 1) That the second time is done at Mass. E.G. Can't be a Communion Service 2) That if have already received once at Mass, that the 2nd Mass cannot be the same daily Mass E.G. The two Masses you receive cannot have the same readings. Say you go to a Daily Mass then to a Requiem Mass. Now, how would #2 apply if you go to two different Rites (Mass and Divine Liturgy), but they both are offering the same daily Mass? (E.G. Both are the 27th Sunday of Ordinary Times, no Feast that day) Thank you and God bless!
cappie
The note about readings and daily mass is incorrect the relevant code reads: Can. 917 One who has received the blessed Eucharist may receive it again on the same day only within a eucharistic celebration in which that person participates, without prejudice to the provision of can. 921 §2. Can. 921 §1 Christ's faithful who are in danger of death, from whatever cause, are to be strengthened by holy communion as Viaticum. §2 Even if they have already received holy communion that same day, it is nevertheless strongly suggested that in danger of death they should communicate again. About the rites maybe someone else can answer
