passerby
Is it a sin if you go to Mass, and receive the Eucharist, but don't believe or don't competely believe that Jesus is present? I mean, you say "Amen" which seems hypocritical, but is it a sin?
Laudate_Dominum
It is not only hypocritical, but is a great act of disrespect against the Faith and the Eucharist, to recieve Communion and not acknowledge the Real Presence of Christ. It is sacrilege. It is a different story if a person believes to a degree but struggles with it. You can make an act of faith, and even if your faith is weak it is sufficient. But I would receive and pray earnestly for Christ to increase my faith. The old prayer, "Lord I believe, help my unbelief", comes to mind. God bless.
