Hassan
Girl 1 asked me to an event she had to take pictures of for the school news paper, she definitely seems to like me. We may be going to Hookah after the event, which rocks. Girl 2 is a good friend of mine, in fact she's buying me icecream this weekend!!!! But I kind of like her as well, I mean if we remained friends I'd be fine with that. I mean I'm not like in love with her, I'm just kind of "meh maybe". Girl 3 I met as an Iftar while I was at a hookah circle. I spent most of the night cracking her up and we both watched Spongebob, which is awesome. I don't know how she is relationship wise and there is really nothing there at the moment as we only met once, but we should be meeting regularly in the future for a study group being put together. Girl 4 keeps offering me rids and is kind of flirtatious, I'm not sure how I feel about her but she's really hot and as kind of a wild, just go for it side, which I like. Like we had a fun time getting lost on a dark highway from Raleigh trying to find our way back to Chapel Hill. Like so......yeah. I met girl 3 at event I attended with girl 2 and 4, in fact 4 gave me a ride there and we rode back together. I like girl 1 but if something is going to happen it needs to be soon, but I don't know what's up with girl 3 and 2. I don't know what's up with girl 4. On the one hand we don't seem to have any serious chemistry, on the other she came charging up to me(literally) last Thursday and we walked to class together. So......questions, comments, suggestions?
Hassan
oh, girl 1 is a pantheist, which I find odd but whatever. Girl 2 is an atheist, which is a plus. girl 3 is a Muslim, but seems to be nominally so. The problem is I'm on good terms with the (religious) Muslims in the dorm. Particularly during Ramadan when they keep my crazy hours they hook me up with left over Iftar meals, Nutella, tea, fresh baked bread and other foodstuffs. I don't want to screw that relationship up, which is a problem. Girl 4 is a "secular episcopalian" with an odd affinity for Judaism, but the culture not the religion. So we're good there as well. zunshynn
I hope none of them stumbles upon Phatmass and finds this thread. That would probably cause much greater problems than no Iftar meals. This might sound too courtship-ish for you, but why not just be friends with all of them until you're seriously attracted to one? And... I don't know... know each other beyond the fact that you both like Hookah. Edited September 16, 2009 by zunshynn

Or the fact that she's a good friend is evidenced by the fact that she's buying you ice cream this weekend? Or she is a good friend and it's a plus that she happens to be buying you ice cream this weekend? And will you be discussing the glories of Atheism at said Ice Cream Rendezvous? Marie-Therese
Well, dear, are you looking for someone? That seems to be an important factor here. Just trying to evaluate the potential of a handful of random chicks who are convenient isn't a good place to start, IMHO. One thing that I notice about all the girls you listed is that none of them are firm in anything...none with serious beliefs, all pretty casual. If you are just looking for a girl to hang out with/casually date, that probably isn't a problem. However, as relationships change, a person with labile belief structures could change in a direction you found objectionable. That doesn't apply just to religious persuasions either. The "secular Episcopalian with Jewish affinity" could easily become a "enthusiastic dater of Hassan with an occasional affinity for other dudes." Just a thought. At any rate, I think the most important deciding factor is what exactly you're looking for right now. Then the list should cull itself out naturally. Jason is right, you do have that moppish Beatles-like thing goin' for ya.
lol, girl number 2 is a good friend and she just happens to be buying me icecream this weekend for some help I gave her on an Aquinas paper (She needed me to explain the formal logic of why his fourth argument for the existence of God fails). She's one of those friends who I can have a great time with even though it's five in the morning and we've both been up all night working on papers. Which is why I wouldn't want to mess that up.
