annie
At what age is it required to abstain from meat on Fridays? I read that fasting is only for those 14-59, but don't know the minimum age for abstinence from meat on Fridays. Thanks-
Pio Nono
JMJ 4/3 - Fifth Saturday of Lent annie, The Code of Canon Law says: "All persons who have completed their fourteenth year are bound by the law of abstinence; all adults are bound by the law of fast up to the beginning of their sixtieth year" (CIC 1252). Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
