Nihil Obstat
In Alberta we have publicly funded Catholic schools. Ba-zing!
Christie_M
I would love my kids to go to a Catholic school, but I don't think I want to pay for it all 12+ years hehe. The way things might work out in the future, homeschooling wouldn't be much of an option either. So public schools most likely...I envy you Nihil

Marie-Therese
My daughter attends public school here, but I would homeschool if I were able. However, the schools here are pretty good, she attends an independent city school system which is unaffiliated with the local district. It's a small town and has pretty traditional values, so by and large I have few complaints.

tinytherese
I'd say that it would depend on the schools. If I become a parent I'd want to investigate how liberal they are how they are academically speaking (not prep school like just not cruddy and unchallenging.) I'd hesitate putting them in a catholic school as I don't trust how catechesis is there unless it had a decent orthodox reputation. If I lived in an area where the Dominican Sisters of Mary or Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia taught, I wouldn't hesitate to put them in their care. I have to admit though, that the catholic middle school and high school that I attended were academically challenging. By the time I started college I already had writing papers down. I was the only one in my english composition class that had written research papers before coming there. I had written my first one in eighth grade and I've lost track of all the ones I wrote in high school. I definitely wouldn't want to put my kids through sex ed in a public school. Planned Parenthood is actually trying to get into elementary schools, even to kindergardeners. I'm not sure if I'd homeschool or not. It would depend on the financial circumstances of my husband and I. I also don't trust myself to teach math and science. Those are my worst subjects. Though if a homeschool group met all together with other kids for some subjects where someone else taught it or if I could get them into part time schooling at a public school I would. Arpy
"Other." I would strand each one in a Third World country shortly after birth (and maybe immunizations) with a water bottle, a handgun, a copy of the Bible, and my current address. The life experience alone would be invaluable, and they'd have the benefit of learning a new language or three as well!

eagle_eye222001
If I get married and have kids......it will likely be either homeschooling or Catholic school. Although the Catholic school would need to have a reputation of actually teaching the faith and it would have to be a reasonable tuition.
