He also wrote Helena, which is a very good novel... his favorite of his own novels. It was the only one he read to his family.

It's kind of funny though, he married a woman who was also named Evelyn, but she had an affair and they got divorced (and I believe annulled, eventually). For some reason I want to say the man she had an affair with was also named Evelyn, but don't quote me on that.

I'm pretty sure its ehv-uh-linn waah, but with a British accent there will be a faint r at the end.

"Eve-uh-linn" is how I've always heard it pronounced. Your pronunciation guide "Waah" is the closest to how I pronounce (and have always heard) "Waugh" spoken aloud (other people's spellings may be spoken the same way, but given the differences in the way some people say things in different parts of the country I keep second guessing if it's being said the same way I say it lol).

"Ehv-uh-linn" is how you usually hear it pronounced for a girl (not that many people are naming their sons Evelyn these days haha), but I think there is usually that distinction between "Ehv" and "Eve" when referring to Waugh.

Wow...what a bizarre love triangle.

"Oh, Evelyn...this is not what it seems, you see, Evelyn and I were, umm, talking about you, Evelyn, and discussing the, umm, crown molding in our bedroom."

"Oh, Evelyn! How could you do this to your Evelyn and with Evelyn of all people!"
