Hassan
After I built my private chapel (which would probably use the entire $1,000,000) and had built a monastery (which in actuality would probably tens of millions of dollars), I would buy some nice cars if I had any money left (which I certainly wouldn't).
For that ammount you could save countless children from painful deaths or give untold numbers of women in the developing world the chance for an education. How would St. Francis spend the money? I know the relevent passages in Trent and the scriptures that you can answer with to justify your plans though. If you are, I'm just going to let you know that I would certainly give part of the money to assist the poor; however, saints in the past not only generously assisted the poor, but also funded monasteries and convents. They also often built themselves personal chapels. For the purposes of this thread, it would have sounded incredibly cheesy to say that I would give a good portion of my money to the poor. Saying that I would fund monasteries does not sound cheesy at all: it is a very Rexilicious thing to say, actually.

I'd live on one bedroom and rent out the others . That way I'll hopefully get married one day and never have to say "we can't afford to have a kid right now." But supporting a family is a lot harder than that!

"bring me hardship to save a soul" trust me.. works EVERY time. but sooo worth it!!!
So... if one were to receive a "hardship" without saying that prayer... does a soul get saved? Adrestia
p.s. After much thought, I have changed my mind. If I had a million dollars, I would first pay off my parents mortgage, then do the things in my previous answer.
