VeraMaria
Adam, Papal Authority is the easiest thing for me to accept.. it's funny how different people are. But, I think that's because I've read a lot on the papacy and it's Biblical / Historical foundations.
In some of the conversion stories I've read, that was the only doctrine they needed to accept, and once they did, everything else fell into place... Brother Adam
That's just it VeraMaria, If I accepted the authority of the pope, what choice would I have but to join, whether I disagreed or agreed on anything else? I was going to ask everyone though: Does anyone have a copy of "Upon this Rock" or "Jesus, Peter, and the Keys" that I could borrow and return after reading it? I'd even give you the retail value of the book to hang onto until I mailed it back to you if you were worried about getting it back.
VeraMaria
Hey Bro Adam; My Church library (it's not really a library, rather books donated for anyone interested to keep) has a couple of copies of both of those, I think. I could mail them to you. I will double-check next wednesday, which is when I have youth group, and I'll get bac to you.

Theologian in Training
for those (Jake, Grant, Katie, Dust, Leslie, Andrea) that keep tabs on me (or are stalking me ) check this out, especially the bottom: http://www.flyfreeministries.org/ContactUs-faithjourney.htm
Unfortunately, Bro. if you did not believe in the Real Presence, you would be among the 60% or more Catholics that also do not believe. I think the reason you struggle with that one, is because your friend down below knows that if you believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist you would come to see both the utter humility and ineffable power of God. For how can God dwell both in Heaven and on earth, physically present in both locations? Yet our faith tells us that Christ has died and Christ is risen, if He has risen that means He has destroyed death, and if He has broken the divide between life and death then how can He not dwell in multiple locations since both and life and death are, in a sense, one? You are definitely in my prayers. God Bless

Brother Adam
Hi Leslie, This was my original avatar. Actually, originally it was a signature in the pre-renassance era of phatmass that the webmaster made for me. I thought it was about time to go back to the classics.
