Wow, I just found this thread. Go hoosiers :)

I am from Washout (Warshout), aka Washington.
I am in Evansville most of the time though because of school!

Yeah, an Indiana Phatmass Mass would be so awesome. If we would want Fr. P it'd prolly have to be more near his region of the state. You northerns need to come see the real side of Indiana!!!

:cowboy:

I'm from Evansville, originally. Born and Bred.

However, I'm now going to school at the University of Kentucky. (don't hold that against me) I'm still a Hoosier!!
w0t, South Bend here. I'm amazed some of the other Benders haven't said anything. Well, CICCIO gave up his internet for Lent.

Yay for Indiana. It's corn, corn, and corn. (No lies!)
Who is you?

Do you know who I is?

Ask around . . .

My dad's cousin used to be vicar general of the Gary diocese.

Is Gary really part of Indiana? My personal belief is that Lake County should be annexed into Illinois. I've always thought people from The Region were just a little different from the rest of the state ... :P

Gary is definitely part of Indiana, its the part of the state south of Indy that I'm not sure about. Its all way to much like kentucky for me.

Norse,

Your dad's cousin was the vicar general? How cool is that! Aside from working for a shady company, you grow cooler every day!

peace..

Oh yeah, totally from Washouttown, er, WASHINGTON, Indiana. ;)  'Bout an hour north of Evanstucky, er, EvansVILLE. ;)  I spend a lot of time at St. Joe's in Jasper, though.
I'm from Evansville (also lived in Columbus IN)... I used to know a girl in Washington... Shannon Waltz - know her by chance?

God Bless,

well you didn't miss too much. theres a lot of Catholics here, but mostly just cows. lots of cows. some pigs. some chickens. even some horses. a few people. but mostly....cows.
for instance, i live in the middle of town, if it weren't night, i can sometimes see cows from my driveway. and i live in a town that is considered big. now its no e-ville, but Jasper is the biggest for at least 45 min. away.

There are a lot of Catholics in southwestern Indiana aka the E'ville Diocese. Catholics are pretty much well-hated east of Dubois, which is the edge of the E'ville Diocese. Where I grew up if you even said the word Catholic you were hated and a 'devil/Mary worshipper.'

Y'all are right south of Indiana is a completely different place than Northern Indiana. In my home town we used to make fun of other 'hillbillies' by saying they were Kentuckians. The really funny part about where I am originally from is that it is called Kentuckiana. hehe Kentucky and Indiana united my friends in Ohio make fun me because of this, but the area and people are so similiar that it completely fits.

4/9 - Good Friday

ironmonk,

Surprisingly, no, I'm sorry, but I don't believe I know a Shannon Waltz. For a one-horse town like Washington, you'd think that I'd know her. ;) What parish do you attend in Evansville? Or do I have to ask because it would be Holy Trinity? ;)

 • 9 months later...

I feel like a loser for not seeing this thread earlier, but I was busy... kinda. I grew up in Evansville (aka E-vil) and am now attending IU (!!!!!!) Bloominton (aka B-town). Now I'm all wondering who some of these Evansville people are... I know Juca, Katt and Pio, but who are you Iron?? Oh and Evansville Diocese has a TEC this weekend, so pray for them.
