You are a first class JERK! You owe the Lieutenant and everybody else here an apology. No decent person talks like that.

More like pity... Actually, I take that back. I have no pity for you. It must be contempt then... :P

Amen. Just for the record and to attempt to get back on topic, I have to agree with Res, this is grave matter.

Isn't that insubordination or something to that effect?
I mean...you are an officer in the United States Air Force, are you not?
And he is a student in the United States Coast Guard Academy, is he not?
How does that work out?

I think intention is important, and cannot completely discounted, but in terms of whether it is mortal or venial, intention plays a huge role in that determination.
I don't think one's "intention" could completely be a factor in a case such as this. Let me see if I can explain. Say a girl walks around very immodestly dressed (I don't want to give any details because some guys are very visual creatures). Her intention may just be to look "cute" or "just to have fun". While her intention may not be to cause arousal, it's more than likely that men are going to find her style of dress very arousing. I could say the same thing applies to this type of dancing. It may be the intention of the dancer to just have fun and not arouse their dance partner. But from the majority of guys I know, such dancing is going to cause sexual arousal. Having a good intention doesn't make an act okay, read Veritatis Splendor for further explanation.
I absolutely agree with you on this one. I will quote a rather unconventional source as my example here. Dave Chapelle once did a stand up sketch talking about women who were dressed inappropriately becoming offended when men made advances toward them. He gave the example of a person dressing up as a police officer and then getting mad when people came up and asked them for help. "Just because I am dressed this way does NOT make me a police officer!" So, in other words, how you dress yourself up (whether by wearing skimpy clothing or wearing another human while dancing) makes a difference. You might not be a hooker, but you're sure wearing the uniform.
