Vincent Vega
It makes me real mad that there are no famous, Catholic hymnists - at least, "modern" style hymnists (think the 'traditional' protestant hymns). I mean, Wesley did alright, and so did all of his proddy buds, but why shouldn't we have something all our own? Perhaps I'll write a contemporary traditional hymnal so we can have something all our own.

I can't think of any titles off hand, but I've heard some good ones. There's still people writing in the line of the Church.

[/quote] A modern hymn set to ancient text? How does that work? (A text is set to music, and a hymn is set to a hymn tune...I don't think a text can be set to text.) "Eternal Father, grant, we pray To all Marines, both night and day, The courage, honor, strength, and skill Their land to serve, thy law fulfill; Be thou the shield forevermore From every peril to the Corps."
