Getting Hair Cut

I love it.

There are several basic lengths. The short length, longer on top and trimmed short on the sides with a little sideburn-yes, for girls. This is great if your sides are really asymmetrical like mine. For centuries I had an obnoxious little curl on each side; one side would, one wouldn't . It turns out that hair has a natural spiral like a shell (that's where my snail-like habits came from!). Also short is great for naturally curly hair.

The next length is an the angle of the jaw. Very good if your face is narrow, not so if it's square or you have a very round face. Also if you have full straight hair. This style needs a good cut and needs to be kept up( trimmed often, which means $).

The next length is not much longer, at the tip of your chin. That is better if your face is square or very round. Also needs a good stylist and needs to be kept up.

The next is longer but clears your shoulders when you swing your head. Hair this long needs to be curled unless it is a great color, is perfectly straight and has a lot of body; it also needs a stylist, unless you're good with hair (I'm not).

The problem with hair that is long enough to get caught on your shoulders is that it messes up fast.

...and long hair. Long enough to get messy fast and take a long time to dry unless you use a dryer. But long hair can be put up! With an assortment of plastic thingies from Walgreen's. Less need for a stylist.

Bangs depend on face shape and personal preference. Long skinny faces don't look good with bangs.

So it depends on your face shape, your pocketbook and how much time/money/effort you want to spend on your hair.

I'm old and keep mine short because of the snail problem. Also I don't want to spend a lot of time or $ on it. My younger daughter wears her hair about at the jaw angle and spends a lot of time & $ on it. My older has long greasy hair when she never washes and often (fortunately) wears it up!
...Off topic, but I'm getting a hair cut as well.... I think Gianna should get a mullet. Short in the front, party in the back. :bluesbrother:
Too late got my hair cut!

Showed this lovely picture of Jessica Alba to the stylist and she worked her magic!

i just donated 18 inches. (locks of love does charge, wigs for kids doesn't)

I had to do some searching around my area, read reviews and visit many websites. All in all, I say continued professional development in hair is key with me. I was able to trust in someone that makes it a priority to continually stay on top of the latest technology and better ways of doing things with hair and who had overall good reviews from customers.

When it came down to it, it was the reviews that made me confident enough to go in and trust someone with something I really don't trust anyone with. (other than trims) I'm glad I did. She was the best and now my 2 sisters are her clients. ^_^ Praise God!

Nihil Obstat

It's decidedly more virtuous than "she's a babe!"
I think it's true. The shape of her face is quite attractive.

Apparently it's Hassan slang for "person with brown hair."
