BG45
News Corp. paid Seth MacFarlane the ultimate compliment when it made him Twentieth Century Fox TV's $100 million crown jewel. But the "Family Guy" creator isn't necessarily returning the favor. At the series' Comic-Con panel Saturday, MacFarlane continued his show's tradition of jibing its host studio and network.MacFarlane revealed he's producing a controversial episode about abortion for the upcoming season. But he and others on the panel said that Fox was unlikely to air the episode. More in the article, but as it does pertain to Family Guy, it isn't entirely suitable as a whole. Mostly though it devolves into how McFarlane constantly lampoons his own employers in the show.
Ash Wednesday
Exactly right. It's safe and easy to pick on Republicans and conservatives and go for the cheap laugh. If MacFarlane had any *edited for phatmass*, he'd push the envelope and do something really controversial like make fun of Obama. Not gonna happen, though.
IAWTC! I don't usually seek it out, but my fiance loves it, so I see it from time to time. The dog doing the "peanut butter jelly time" dance was really, really funny. Jesus_lol
i really like the show. and frankly Fox network deserves to be made fun of. after cancelling so many awesome shows like family guy and futurama(which along with the simpsons makes fun of Fox constantly) they deserve what they get not even including the junk they do on Fox news. iheartjp2
I like Family Guy when it's funny. When it gets up on a soapbox and starts projecting the ideas of its creator (Seth Macfarlane), it's, for lack of a better word, a buzz-kill. When I watch a funny TV show, I want to laugh. If I want to think about politics, I'll get the news up on my web browser. When Seth injects politics/hot-button issues into the show, it just smells of elderberries all the humor out. Brother Adam
Family Guy is an incredibly offensive, sacrilegious, and blasphemous show.
