Traditionally in English most names that are usually now translated with an -ah ending (e.g. Micah, Isaiah, Jonah) ended in -as (e.g. Micheas, Isaias, Jonas).
Those names definitely end with a he (h) in Hebrew.
Micah= מִיכָה
Isaiah = יְשַׁעְיָה
Jonah = יוֹנָה
Would the -as ending be from the Latin?

Yes, it would be from the Vulgate versions of those names, which are in turn from the Septuagint. :)

Domine ut Videam

My first son will be named John or Giovanni. It is not up for questioning.

Girl names: Marie Therese, Bernadette, Gianna
Boy names: Patrick, Joseph, Michael, Dominic

I know a family that has the coolest names: Felicity Noel W., Kepha Matthias W., and Samuel Dominic W.

I've decided that I should name the next son Raphael, as I have a nephew Gabriel, and an uncle & cousin named Michael.

I would name my boys after the 12 Disciples
In order that they were picked.
1st boy= Peter
2nd boy=Andrew
3rd boy=James
4th boy=John
5th boy=Philip
6th boy=Bartholomew
7th boy=Matthew
8th boy=Thomas
9th boy=James
10th boy=Simon
11th boy=Jude Thaddaeus
12th boy=Judas Iscariot

If I had twins They would be
Cain and Abel, Jacob and Esua and other boys who were twins in the bible again in order that they come.

Girls... :think: I'm gonna have to think on that one.

But think about it if I had 12 boys + a few twins I would have a biblical army. :sword:
