Amppax
I would vote for St. John Bosco; because he definitely evangelized in a lot of crazy different ways. And I know this is an old thread, I just love St. John Bosco Edited February 6, 2012 by Amppax
Maximilianus
It should be Saint Pantaleon.
Luigi
One patron saint is not enough for a group as diverse (to say the least) as this. We need an aggregation of patrons - not a selection, mind you - not Luigi choose Saint A, MIKolbe chooses Saint B - no, no, no, that will not do at all. We need a group that represents all of us to all of us and to everybody else. SO! 1. Thomas Aquinas (lots of college students on board) 2. St Phrancis of Assisi (because you've always got to balance Dominicans & Phranciscans or people start to get paranoid about favoritism, and it becomes a big diversion, and then an argument, and we want to avoid all that so we can stay on topic). Besides, St. Phrancis lets us work in the whole PH-at-the-start-of-a-word thing). 3. Clare of Assisi (patron of broadcasting - I guess the interwebz is a kind of broadcasting) 4. Catherine of Siena (because you've always got to balance Phranciscans & Dominicans or people start to to get paranoid about favoritism, and it becomes a big diversion, and then an argument, and we want to avoid all that so we can stay on topic). 5. St. Paul - Didacus is right, Paul's an expert on preaching holy apostolic truth. 6. St. Monica - to balance out the men & women (or people stat to get paranoid, etc...) and because she never gave up on praying for Augustine's conversion - good model for us what with the Prayer Room & all. Others can be added as necessary in the fullness of time. Now we need someone with a graphic knack to edit a nicely designed (say, based on Renaissance group shots) image of the above - because that's WAY above my pay grade. Maximilianus
St. Pantaleon is enough, the use of multiple saints is a post VII innovation.
Luigi
Agreed, multiple saints is a post V-II innovation, but it clearly emphasizes the communal nature of the Church as the people of God. We have the rich and the poor, the black, white, and brown (in habits, at least), the Jewish-to-Christian continuum, Asian African, and European - all are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome here. And from a completely other perspective - WE ARE NOT GONNA HAVE A PATRON WHO NAME MEANS pantaloons!

Selah
I vote St. John of Damascus. Because there is no question he can't answer! Or so they so. So I vote him
Lisa
Hm, voted Augustine of Hippo. But now considering Our Lady, "untier of knots." I think we need her sometimes!
IcePrincessKRS
I vote St. Jude because he's the patron of hopelss causes, and, well, have you people had a good look at yourselves lately? I win. Case closed.
