I like it way more than the traditional stuff. The way it's suspended from the sky, the empty lake, the boat, the contrast between the blue sky in the background and the dark clouds in the foreground, the path to the right and the absence of clutter in the middle of the picture going towards the mountains.

Ahhhhhh, it's packed with symbolism. I'm in love.

I have always been a huge Dali fan, and this is one of my faves. The Corpus Hypercubus one is just too weird. Jesus was not crucified on a big bunch of boxes leftover from the supermarket, which is what it looks like to me. This particular image is just so stark and beautiful.

Persistence of Memory, although one of the most overused images ever, is still such a great piece of art. I have a print of it that used to hang over my bed, back in my high school days.

The picture that I just posted is in the Prado Museum in Madrid.

There is also a copy in the old Cathedral-Basilica in St. Louis.
