Actually, when people aren't vaccinated, it can affect the rest of us. We are always one nasty mutated infection away from a real pandemic. They are thinking about making the flu shot here mandatory this year because those who have been getting sickest with the H1N1 are the aboriginals. They have less of a herd immunity than those of us with European roots.
