Genesis tells us a lot about God and who He is and [i]why[/i] He created us (and the world, too). Science doesn't even ask the question [i]why[/i] - it's all about the process of [i]how[/i]. Not surprisingly, the Bible is rather silent on that topic! The Word of God, the Breath of God...this is just to say that Creation was a Trinitarian endeavor. I believe God created the world. And I'm a biology teacher who teaches evolution at the high school level. Even at a school where the principal was a six-literal-days-of-creation person. So do with that what you will. At times the Bible does tell us [i]how[/i] and science offers its [i]why[/i].
