SponsaChristi
Thanks for the information! Very good to see those (new) paths... I´ll really look them all up - it´s so much inspiration to get to know all those communities... (and it doesn´t matter if you´ve already found your vocation - it strengthens you on you own way!) Thank you!!!!
InHisLove726
I also wanted to add to this list a mixed order that recently contacted me after I filled out a Vocation match on Vision Network. Order of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary http://www.heartsofjesusandmary.org/ They are a relatively new congregation with 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 priests, and 4 lay members. They are located outside of Steubenville, OH.

RosaMystica
I've actually been around here for a really long time. I'm sorry to the people I haven't responded to since I've had the courage to actually comment here again. I left the Chaldean order I was with. It turns out God doesn't want me to be there after all. I'm not upset or confused or anything like that. I have a lot of peace and I'm so happy that I had the chance to discern with them and see whether or not Christ really wants me in the Chaldean community. You guys probably remember how hard it was for me while discerning. I wanted so badly to be with the DSMME but I was having doubts and feeling guilty about leaving my culture and people and my rite. I really learned a lot about myself and I thiink the most important thing I learned was that if I leave the Chaldeans to follow my vocation, which is following Christ, then I won't be giving up a part of myself, but instead He will transform me into who I'm supposed to be. The things that were so important to me before have all become secondary to me. Nothing at all comes before Christ and in following Him. Sorry to hijack this thread but once I started typing I couldn't stop

But you really sound as though you learned a lot, including maturity and trust in God. I pray that He will lead you to your true vocation in His time. Do you think you still might be called to religious life?

Most definitely I think I'm still called to religious life, just not to that particular order. I'm about 100% sure that I'm being called to be a DSMME and I've been keeping in touch with Sr. Joseph Andrew. I was there last week on pre-postulancy week. I remember you as well! Sorry to derail this thread even further, but I have to ask if you went to a pre-postulancy week with the DSMME's does this mean you are entering their community this year? she_who_is_not
This community is not new but I think they are unusual and unique in their apostolate. The Sisters of Christian Charity http://scceast.org/ These sisters operate a college for sisters. They train sisters from all over the world and are a really sweet community.

Yes i am!!!! I thought I had to speak with Mother during the pre-postulancy week and maybe she'd ask me to wait a year, and I was completely open to that, I'm ready to do whatever the Lord wills, but when I spoke to Sr. Joseph Andrew she told me that she spoke with Mother and Mother told her that she likes me a lot and that she wants me to enter the Community and so the next night I got an acceptance letter! I think I was floating the entire week. Actually, I still am. So.. I'll be entering on August 28th. The Sisters are... amazing. I was a little nervous about going back after I had decided not to enter there last year, but the Sisters were so kind! They all embraced me and told me that they were happy I was back and that they had been praying for me. It was really sweet... I was so happy to be back home Edited July 12, 2009 by RosaMystica
