_bc
I'm not sure this is the proper phorum for this, but anyhow: can anyone point me to a (preferably rather short) text explaining the dignity of the human person and the integrity of the body, and relating it to pornography. (I.e. what these concepts mean, and why porn violates them.) Best of all would be something that could appeal to thoughtful atheists as well. I've already found this: PORNOGRAPHY AND VIOLENCE IN THE COMMUNICATIONS MEDIA: A PASTORAL RESPONSE If you know of any alternatives that go into slightly more detail as to what the concepts mean, I'd be grateful to hear of them. M.SIGGA
check out Christopher West: http://www.christopherwest.com/works.htm He is the best source I can think of that talks about Theology of the Body. The Theology of the Body & The New Evangelization article and all the rest are really good. Check them all out. God Bless.

_bc
Thanks guys, this is very helpful. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner (I went back home to stay with my family for Easter, so I couldn't be online quite as much as usual).
willguy
As Pope John Paul II said, "the problem with pornography is not that it shows too much, but that it shows too little." It doesn't show the person, it only shows the body. It doesn't show them as a human being with dignity and feelings and a family and such, it shows them as a tool for our lust.
