He definitely wrote for the wealthier classes as well, though.

I doubt the poor knew or cared what blank verse was.

Agreed. That part always bugged me. :mellow: The whole attitude is about "me having this relationship". Nothing about "I love you so much I want YOU to be happy even if that means we cannot be".

My English Teacher, waaaay back in the day, was a born again Hippie. He wouldn't let us discuss the true meaning, he just said they would sneak around and play cards.... <_< I think I was cheated out of a lesson there.
