Nihil Obstat
That was over a month ago now. I was perfectly all right. So were the two guys that took off their shirts for over half the way down... then put muddy (icey) handprints on their chests.

I was sweating literally the entire way. Taking our shirts off was a lovely bit of relief, actually. There wasn't much wind. Just whiteout snow... and that's not even exaggerating. Visibility was down to 15 feet. We were about ten minutes away from the top, but our counsellor wouldn't let us finish because we couldn't see the edge of the cliffs anymore. [/quote] I watch "Survivorman" on OLN a lot. Cardinal rule about sweating in winter is to stop, otherwise you get cold faster. You guys seemed to have remedied that a little too harshly. The temperature probably wasn't that low... just enough to let the snow start to accumulate. The hardest part was the actual hiking in any case. That was easily the most strenuous activity I've ever done. There were a few moments when I literally thought my legs would just stop holding me.
