Nihil Obstat
In some ways I'm looking for a bigger group of people to get to know. I know my small group of friends extremely well, but one of the gym activities I was in during the year helped me realize that there are some people that I normally would never associate with that are actually really great people. It's a lesson that I still haven't completely wrapped my head around, but I'm working on it. Here's a picture that kind of sums up that whole feeling. Nobody had better say a word about modesty. I swear... Here's a mountain view. ...and another. At this point you can kind of see the whiteout conditions we were hiking in... and keep in mind that this is just over a month ago. Here's the greater portion of my posse for that trip, minus me. ...and this picture expresses what I was talking about. The camraderie was amazing. (It didn't even feel cold after that INTENSE hike...) I was sweating literally the entire way. Taking our shirts off was a lovely bit of relief, actually. There wasn't much wind. Just whiteout snow... and that's not even exaggerating. Visibility was down to 15 feet. We were about ten minutes away from the top, but our counsellor wouldn't let us finish because we couldn't see the edge of the cliffs anymore.
