InHisLove726
Thank you all so much for your prayers! Wow! I have some fabulous news! Yesterday, I got a phone call from the hospital where I did my clinicals, and the HR manager was responding to my application and resume I sent her three weeks ago. She did a mini phone interview, and then said she wants me to come in for an interview for one of their Patient Care Technician positions for the daytime rotation, Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm!!! I LOVED doing my clinicals here, and I knew that when I left, I would love to come back and get a job after I got my certification. I was thrilled! I have an interview for next Tuesday, 6/23, at 10am!!!! I REALLY hope to get this job because it would provide the stability I'm looking for and the health insurance I really need. Plus, it is the challenging job that I feel would really help me move and grow as a Certified Nursing Assistant because, working as a Patient Care Technician, I would have more responsibilities. If all goes well, I pray that I can move towards getting my AA degree at the community college, plus start school to be a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse. There's a LONG waiting list, so I'm planning to call the school if I get the job and get on it ASAP. I also got a call back from the Senior Helpers today and the woman I spoke to said that she received my application and she would like to bring me in for an interview, but her boss is not hiring right now. She sounded as though she would like to extend me an opportunity, but her hands are tied, which I understand. She said that she would keep my application on file, and call me when she starts hiring. She was very nice and I thanked her for calling me. So, please keep me in your prayers that this interview goes well. I'm going shopping with my mom this weekend to buy a shirt in the color of the uniform that I know the PCTs wear (black or cranberry). I also need to brush up on my interview skills and make sure I have good answers to any questions. The HR manager told me to bring all my stuff with me such as my driver's license, SS card, my CNA certification, and my Basic Life Support (CPR) certification card. It sounds like there is a chance that I might get hired on the spot, but I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket. I am really happy though! I went to Mass this morning for the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart (my personal devotion), and prayed to Jesus to seize this opportunity for me.
