Phatmass recap:
April: fides' Jack proposed to me
May (i think?): Soc proposed to Bubbalicious
June: Slappo proposed to his fiancee (yes - she gets two e's, by the way, since she's a girl)

Who will be July?

Anyway, rock on! Very good news, indeed. We'll pray for you if you'll pray for us! :)

As one of my high school teachers pointed out years ago "engaged" could really pronounce as "en-GAGED."
Excellent... Now you get to plan a wedding?!? (That's the not fun part.)
 Men! :P
I took her four wheeling out into her neighbors backyard who has a pond (her family has permission to go out there whenever they'd like.

Preparation: The pond has a swinging bench by it that overlooks the pond. I had gone out there earlier in the afternoon and cleared away the grass by the bench and a small path of grass leading up to the bench with a pair of scissors i brought along and then laid rose pedals along the path that lead up to the bench, around the bench, and on the bench. I also placed three roses in a vase next to the bench.

Proposal: I took her out there after convincing her to come (she of course didn't want to go) and made her drive the four wheeler because i was kind of nervous. When we got there she saw the flowers and thanked me and just thought it was a nice evening out at the pond with the two of us. She asked if we should sit down and immediately she sat, and i got on one knee. I picked the roses out of the vase, turned them towards me so she couldn't see them and placed her ring on the pedals of one of the roses and turned the flowers back around to her (there was a paper wrapping around the roses and i turned them so the paper blocked her view). Then I told her I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and asked her to marry me.

the end.

Oh yeah, she said yes. :)
^_^ Congratulations!

On a side note, if her ring has a diamond (or any stone for that matter) make sure she gets the prongs checked at least once a year. Most of the jewelry stores around here check those and repair them for free, but I don't know what it's like wherever you got the ring, but you should check it out if you haven't already. Sorry, I lost my diamond last summer (found it 3 days later), and it was a very traumatic experience. I feel the need to warn everyone so they don't have to go through the same thing. I'll stop now...:ninja:

Thanks for the advice. I just got the head for the main stone replaced. The ring i used was my grandma's and the head needed replaced. It has a year warranty

Is the warranty on the stone or the work? When I got my ring repaired, they put a warranty on the work, but not the stone, because it was bigger than a 1/2 karat, I think...

But yeah, my fiance got my ring from his mom, and no one thought to have it checked before or after he gave it to me. We even got it resized and didn't think about having the prongs checked. I had it checked compulsively for the rest of last summer (I lived right next to the jewelry store, so it was easy. lol)

Maybe she's afraid you'll change your mind.
