VeniteAdoremus
*squeezes her eyes shut and thinks of Paris-Chartres... Paris-Chartres... Austria does not actually exist... Paris-Chartres...* The guy isn't even wearing an alb, let alone a humeral veil. Why do they even call it a monstrance if they so obviously don't believe it themselves? Austria borders on Italy. It shouldn't take too much trouble to send over some cardinals with big sticks.
Resurrexi
It's no wonder that traditionalism is such a large movement in Europe.
OraProMe
Can the pope just declare all the Austrian See's vacant and consecrate a few FSSP priests already? Seriously, this stuff is disgusting. The stuff that VeniteAdoremus translated is such a watered down version of the doctrine of transubstantiation it's disgusting. Oh my, I hate pseudo-Catholicism so much. OraProMe
ps. That photo reminds me of this italian restaurant I like. They use a device similar to that "monstrance" to pull the pizza's out of the wood-fired oven.
Resurrexi
It is too bad that the former auxiliary bishop-elect of that diocese was never consecrated due to protests.

Resurrexi
Those in the diocese of Linz definitely need someone to correct them. Edited June 14, 2009 by Resurrexi
SponsaChristi
People who try to correct them don´t have a chance to do anything. (It´s the same thing in many parishes here in Germany. Unfortunately!) When I go to mass, I always go to the parish where I can find the "lesser of two evils". And they always think they are so MODERN!!!!! We really should pray for all those people who are not aware of what they are doing (at least: they don´t seem to be aware!)! Church Punk
Let me guess Belgium or Holland? My good friend is the only normal diocesan priest in Belgium who isnt FSSP or SSPX. He tells me this stuff happens every day down there, upset that it is happening, yes. Surprised ...no.

I know my USA geography is pretty bad, but at least I look things up on Google maps or something before putting my foot in my mouth. And even then, does an .at website sound like a Belgian or Dutch one to you? My parish had a procession with the Blessed Sacrament (inside the church) with two thirufers, a load of altar servers, a men's schola and a children's choir with the kids who made their first Holy Communion this year. The really disturbing parishes don't even have processions. They're far too post-modern for that Edited June 16, 2009 by puellapaschalis
