Orange Box is the best deal running for Portal and HL2. And TF2. I got it for just around 40 bucks, I think. It's worth it. They're big games though. Over 2 DVDs. A few gigabytes, then a large update. Heh, when I came home, I installed the games on an other computer and used up most of the bandwidth on cable "light", so we had to upgrade the service so we wouldn't be overcharged for bandwidth use
I'll be getting it for Playstation, so a big update and then clear sailing.
Looks like I have to buy it used; rental places near me aren't carrying it.
$25 used from Amazon is pretty good, I think.

Just got The Orange Box. Haven't played Half Life yet, still playing Portal. (pretend you see a cake)

He's good at that. Anyone wanna play the "Synergy" mod with me? It allows you to play the single player campaigns with other users.

look it up under "free stuff" in the steam home page. I think it's second page of Mods. They'll link you to the mod community's website and there's a direct download available. I've opened it up to config it and I've got to say I'm impressed just by the welcome screen stuff. The modders take pride in their work. Btw, it is a mod, but it runs as it's own separate entity. It's more of an add-on using the Half Life engine and game files. Some mods play like separate games all together. I just beat "Riot Act". It was a pretty decent campaign. A bit hard, but decent.

- Half Life: Blue Shift (play as a security guard)
- Half Life 2
- Half Life 2: Episode 1
- Half Life 2: Episode 2
- Half Life 2: Lost Coast
- Half Life 2: Deathmatch
- Insurgency (HL2 engine set in the Iraqi War)

I'll have to check out some of the Mods you mentioned, SMM. Thank you for recommending them!

I must reiterate to my friends, though, Battlefield 2142 plays 10 times better than all the Half Life multiplayer games. It is the best tactical team game ever made. And it only costs $20 at Best Buy!

I found a funny Half-Life video: Half-Life in 60 Seconds I think I like the sound effects most about it

I also started watching the first few episodes of Freeman's Mind. Good Stuff.

Love Freeman's mind. I hope he keeps that series up. Maybe even gets into some HL2. I can imagine some of the comments he'd give in that game. lawl.
