tinytherese
I love the part where the nuns steal the spark plugs from the Nazi's car
When my mom first saw it all of those years ago she thought that that part was hilarious because she had gone to school with religious sisters as her teachers and she was used to them acting so perfect all of the time. hoosieranna
Mary Poppins was one of my favorites when I was small. I think I actually wore out the tape from watching it so much. My Fair Lady is another one that I really enjoy. On the serious side, I like Inherit the Wind.

tinytherese
There's this one film that is one of my favorites of all time that few people have even heard of called "The Power of the Resurrection." It's a movie from the 60's where St. Peter tells the story of Our Lord's Passion, Death, and Resurrection from his perspective.

Let's see what else is there?

kafka
that is short. Another classic masterpiece is Seven Samarai by Kurosawa, only I'm not sure how many Americans have seen it since it is Japanese w/english subtitles and it lasts about 3.5 hours in glorious black & white. Still joking aside, it is an amazing epic moves very fast w/humor, philosophy, action. Some critics have it atop their best alltime list. I believe the Magnificent Seven was based on this one.
