Resurrexi
How many liturgical rites are there that are used by the varioius Eastern sui iuris Churches? If I recall correctly, aren't only a few different liturgical rites, each shared by several sui iuris Churches?

Apotheoun
Irish Melkite, an acquaintance of mine from the Byzantine Forum, is an expert on this topic, and I would recommend any one of the many posts he has written on this subject in order to find an answer to your query. jeffpugh
Res, you're a smart guy. Try the search function... I do recall a few threads on this... no?
Resurrexi
No, as are as I'm aware there hasn't been a thread on the number of liturgical families in the Catholic Church. We've talked about the Byzantine Liturgy before, but we haven't discussed all the other Liturgies. Edited June 6, 2009 by Resurrexi

Some Churches, those separate in their own individual traditions, share the same liturgy. I, too, am interested in the answer here. Do all Eastern Churches use a version of St. John Chrysostom's Divine Liturgy, or are there others apart from his influence? And are there different "flavors" of the Chrysostom liturgy? jeffpugh
After reading the excellent post on that other forum, I would conclude the answers are there.
