Before the summer is over Paladin D will have to salute you if you ever cross paths.

I was thinking the same thing!

Congratulations MEG!!!!!!!!!! I'm very happy for you, especially with all the croutons you had to go through to get to where you are (and you know my story too lol).
When do you start basic training? Where at?

For those who don't know, I'll be shipping to my basic training down at Ft. Benning (GA) on July 21st. I'm going in as 11x (Infantry) with an Airborne Ranger contract.

Yeah don't remind me. <_<

That would feel odd though, considering we've already met before the military. Anyhow, it would be a pleasure (and of course a duty) to salute Meg.

 I KNOW! I ran into him last summer but it was a bit early for both of us to be saluting. Now I will have to make time to cross paths so that he has to salute me :)
Were you not interested in the Navy?
Yeah...here is the story.

My father was in Army so I always had a loyalty to that branch. However, my eventual goal was flight nursing. So I figured that my best bet was going into the Air Force (planes right?) well I still felt bad and actually went to my dad and told him that I felt like I was abandoning the Army. He said that he was proud of me and my decision regardless of the branch. Well when the Air Force said no I contacted an Army recruiter and asked about Flight Nursing. They do have flight nursing so I decided to go with them.

I never liked the Navy. Ever. They just didn't attract me.
Dear Pham,
I just want to thank you all for your prayers. After a year and a half I finally heard word from the Army. The Air Force did not accept me but the Army did. Before the summer is over, I will be a 2nd Lieutenant. :)

Congratulations L T
