That's a great article! If I ever get married, I hope my married life can be at least half as good as yours!
I still think the photo is ghastly.
Actually, you look MUCH younger than I imagined you to be. (I was imagining you looked something like Mother Teresa in her old age. I suppose that's due to the impression I got from reading about all your varied experiences in your posts.)

That is a sweet article, and you guys are cute, Catherine. :) I have never doubted your realness, though.

I turned 47 in March. I'm actually older than my husband (3 months and a day). My father would have said it isn't the years, it's the miles. He died at 71, and most people thought he was in his 50's. It's the chubby cheeks. I saw a doctor talking about things you can do to look younger, and the first thing he said was to not loose weight. He said a lot of women try to look younger by losing weight, and it actually makes them look older. I can loose a lot more weight before I have to worry about that though.

Remarkable! You're both actually younger than my parents! But from the impression I got reading what you post, I thought you would be at least older than my parents. I suppose that teaches me that impressions can be deceptive.

Had a weird experience this afternoon at the bus stop. We were going to the mall for my daily walk, and a lady in the turn lane started honking, and then waving. When we looked over, she started screaming about how she loved our article in the paper. The picture of us was half the page, so practically life size. Life has become surreal now. My husband was talking to the Archbishop's secretary on the phone to arrange for a meeting room for Friday at that pastoral center, and she said her boss loved the article too. Next time, he can just take out a billboard.

All of this is because the Journal is going bankrupt, so they had to lay off half their reporters, and are no longer paying free-lancers. They will print just about anything. Good Grief.

All I wanted to be is a frumpy housewife. It's that man I married. He is a magnet for publicity.
