farglefeezlebut
Can anyone recommend a good, Catholic commentary on Luke and Acts? I'm looking for something that is for devotional use rather than academic theology/ church history. I'm feeling drawn to pray and do lectio divina with them, so I want something that will help me with my prayers rather than something that would be designed to help me write a dissertation on them. Of course, I know that there's not a hard-and-fast separation of theology and prayer, but I want something that emphasises prayer. Also, preferably something that's been in print long wnough for me to buy a 2nd hand copy. I need to be more careful with money.
StColette
I find Navarre Bible Commentaries are more devotional than most.
agnes88
This may not be what you're looking for but just in case: http://www.op-stjoseph.org/Students/study/thomas/CALuke.htm That's Luke with commentary. Every verse has commentary from various Catholic philosophers and theologians. Some commentary is more spiritual in nature, some is more historical. It's a great resource, though again maybe not what you're looking for.
