kafka
Did you know she had lupus?
no. I knew she died an untimely death though. I hadnt known much about her unitl I saw the LOST finale. Anyhow, I read the actual short story, "Everything that Rises Must Converge" by Flannery this morning at the library. It is brilliance manifested in its highest mastery and purity. It was disturbing, and cutting. Made me think that I might be a hyprocite and living under a big illusion and not even know. I wont disclose any of the story. It just needs to be read. Its a short, so it only takes about a half an hour. Here is the online text: http://wings.buffalo.edu/AandL/english/cou...d/converge.html
virginiancatholic
I don't watch LOST...and as an outsider I think it is silly. But I just read the story on Kafka's bidding...I kinda feel like that was written about me or for me...maybe a warning...disturbing and cutting, yes. Thank you for sharing it. Now I'm gonna ponder this and feel depressed for the rest of the evening. Edited May 20, 2009 by virginiancatholic

Saint Therese
I love that she used to make outfits for her pet chickens. That's someone I would like to have gotten to know.

I was in it too with the chicken. I was just there to assist the chicken but it was the high point in my life. Everything since has been anticlimax.” and her bedtime reading was Aquinas' Summa.
