Going to the abortion clinic today to sidewalk counsel. This is my second time at this particular place and I get so nervous. Please pray.

Not lame, but I love you guys. :blowkiss:

God bless you. Glad you still have the right to do so. We'd be jailed if we did that... I think it's like 10 metres from the door that people can't "hastle". So one can't even stand on the same side of the street as the door.

Thanks everyone.

**sigh**

Found out one of the clinic workers is Catholic (apparently one of the counselors at PP is too), and everyone is going to get an abortion because "God will forgive them." ***sigh*** Even the counselor said that... I guess that is how she copes.

That is the hardest thing I get thrown and it was thrown around so much today. What do you say to that? I say, "Yes, he will, but you will have to live with the consequences of the sin the rest of your life." But that means nothing, apparently ... What do you say?

No turn aways. So very sad. I'm a little depressed about it. *prayers*

SMM, yeah. :( That is so sad that you don't have that possibility.

I met this young guy today, Robert. He is 18. Just graduated highschool and is going to college in IL. He payed for his baby to be murdered today :( . I tried everything... but, "God will forgive him." We prayed for forgiveness together after the fact and I gave him a hug... so so so sad. *sign*

Yeah, I'm depressed. What a terrible day. :(

That is what my friend said that was out there with me. *sigh* And it is true, but yet I honestly feel I could cry right now just re-thinking the morning. I have been thinking though... just be faithful... i'm not meant to save the world, but just to do what God wants me to do. I did it. I should be happy. But, I'm not. Then the other part of me thinks, "Well, any normal person who believes that it is a child and has witnessed extreme numbness to that fact is going to be upset." I don't know. I'm confused. I hope I do this for the right reasons.

I just can't understand why... why anything. :sadder:

I've been to a fair number of prayer vigils at abortion companies in my day. It's been a while since I've been back there.

Is there a prayer vigil going on when you sidewalk counsel? Or are you counselors out there by yourselves? Or are you the only sidewalk counselor there? Sidewalk counseling is brutal enough when you have all of that support, I can't really fathom what it must be like to be out there alone.

My experience is that it's very hard to get anybody to turn back. These women have been coached to put pro-life people on full blast ignore. So seriously, don't be hard on yourself. You're doing God's work and as a dude who's been to vigils but never counseled, I can't say enough how much we (we=pro-life movement) appreciate your efforts.

It's hard when a "good" day at a Planed Parenthood means getting one woman out of 20 to change her mind. Then again, it's very possible that whatever words you have to offer will resonate days or weeks or even years from now. It's sad that nothing can be done about the babies anymore, but at least if they eventually realized what happened, they'll be able to mourn their loss and heal properly.

So don't let it break your spirit, Totus. :)

I feel better today. I basically just slept the rest of the day and night. Thanks for the prayers for yesterday. I noticed that I never thanked you. I am sure they helped me and those expectant parents... I have faith that they did.

I don't go alone to sidewalk counsel. I always go with one other person (for legal reasons - we always have a witness). There were three of us there yesterday and then some fellow Catholics showed up halfway through to pray the rosary (they pray the rosary at every clinic every Saturday) which was a comfort.

You guys are right. Got to get back up and keep going. :)
