You Know What Urks Me?

I got home from work today to find that my mom had bought an oriental party pack from M&M Meats for supper, which included bread chicken and pork, potstickers (containing meat) and veggie spring rolls.

All I ate were the spring rolls.

Yesterday was our first nice day, weather wise... and our neighbors, on both sides!! were out grilling STEAKS!!! Oh boy... I am a big time steak lover... Smelling steak did NOT make my sorry ol' supper taste any better... But, oh well...

here's a question:

what do u all do when u realize halfway through a meal w/ meat that you weren't supposed to be eating it? some say finish eating it b/c its wasteful if u throw it away half-eaten, and b/c u started eating it w/o being cognizant of the fact that you were erring in ur ways.

if i remember half-way thru a burger that i'm not supposed to be eating it, i usually quit. in my mind, i use the torture of not being able to finish it (especially if its a good burger) as a sort of atonement for eating it when i wasn't supposed to........but maybe that's incorrect theology.

anyway, what do u all do?

I do the same thing PhatCatholic. Once I remember that I'm not supposed to have it I go on abstaining like I'm supposed to. If you remember wouldn't it be the same as eating it deliberately from that point on?

Rev , you ought to carry little plastic cruxifices and fling em at these people when they do stuff like that and tell em"I guess it was all for nothing then?"
