KnightofChrist
Yes both parties are socialist. It is so clear to me that it is not even worth debating. Still in one the RNC there is hope that it can go back to be a party of the Republic with the likes of Ron Paul and Alan Keyes. The DNC has hope but vastly smaller amount. Socrates
Chairman Steele faces Party Revolt, childish behavior. Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0509/22445.html
Calling the Democrat party "socialist" is not name-calling; it's simple accuracy. Of course, the Republicans by-and-large are hypocrites on this, especially during the Bush years. Both parties are guilty of greatly expanding government, but the game seems to be, no matter how much the Republicans spend and expand government, they can never do it quickly or extensively enough. It seems for the Donkeys, government can never get big and socialistic enough.
I hope they do. The more unhinged and erratic the now far right republican party looks the less serious a force they become and the earier it will be to get some serious buisness done.
So what exactly kind of "serious business" will get done once those nasty "far right" elephants are no longer able to interfere? I mean, all those horrible right-wingers in Congress have limited the national debt to a mere three trillion! I guess once they're out of the way, Dear Leader and his Dems will be unhindered in their quest to take government spending and debt to infinite and beyond. Anyways, it's going to be interesting to see if in a couple years with all branches of federal government under Democratic control how you left-wingers will still be able to blame conservatism for all your problems. And btw, I'd hardly describe most of the Republicans in Congress as "far-right"; spineless sell-outs would be a much more accurate description.
