I first got into EWTN last summer. I sort of made it a tradition to watch the daily Mass repeat at midnight. (The daily Mass is first aired at 8am, and then repeated at noon, 7pm, and midnight.) So now I have come to associate EWTN with a quiet house, an open window, and warm to hot summer air. It's pretty awesome though, because after a couple of evenings I began to recognize certain parishioners. They are all very devout when they approach the Eucharist, which is something I definitely admire.

Does anyone else watch this Mass? And are there other programs on EWTN anyone can suggest?

Sometimes I'll watch Mass. I love Journey Home, it really helped in my conversion with the various guests; Missy and I have both had questions e-mailed in and featured on there. Eucharist is an awesome series as well. Life on the Rock is kinda good, but used to be better.

I used to leave EWTN on in the background when trying to get through to my former roommate. She fell in love with Mother Angelica, and eventually went through RCIA. I also liked the Journey Home, and anything by Father Corapi or Father Groeschel.

I watch the 8 a.m. Mass on Mondays when I'm home alone and eating breakfast. :)

Eucharist (Thursdays at 9pm) is an absolutely awesome show that will make you want to go to Adoration RIGHTNOW. It's really cool.

Phil and I started watching Journey Home together when we first started dating, and then later on our thing was The Pure Life (about chastity, sexuality, and dignity in relationships; youth-focused, the Everts hosted it).

I don't watch it all that much, but now that summer's here, I'll probably get into it again.

I think I've seen an episode of Journey Home, and I have listened to Father Corapi. Is Life on the Rock the teen/young adult program? I remember watching WYD on EWTN and one of the television hosts was from Life on the Rock.

One of their children's programs sort of disturbed me, LOL. I tuned in one afternoon and saw these creepy looking puppets.

That's my favourite line-up!

Yeah--I don't tend to like their guests though, most of the time. Eucharist comes on right after LOTR, by the way. ;)

No kidding! They're all kinda weird, in a neat Catholic sorta way. Haha.

But these puppets were...distorted!

As I think more and more about EWTN, I realize that I've seen more than I originally assumed. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is beautiful.

EWTN Live
Live on the Rock.
Lives of the Saints
Lucy (love love love this... super funny)
Mother Angelica
Fr. Corapi
Fr. Groeschel

It really just depends on what guests they are having on or what they are talking about. Check it out on ewtn.com and see if you might like any of the people coming on in the next couple weeks. I always find the live shows really interesting.

I learned the Chaplet from EWTN years ago. :) On weekends they do a different version...it's sung, not chanted.

I definitely caught it on a weekend because it was sung. :saint:

I watch every once in a while, but I don't have a tv at school (much less time for tv). Life on the Rock, Journey Home, etc.

I've been on Msgr. Stuart Swetland's "Catholicism on Campus" for two seasons now. The first was taped last year, the second this year. I think it should show this year sometime.

I also know a few of the brothers that do some of the taping and they're awesome. :)

I live on the same floor as my grandmother, and EWTN is just about all she ever watches, and she has the TV up really loud, so I've absorbed a lot of it by a process akin to osmosis. Especially Fr. Corapi.

There's Theology of the Body for Teens hosted by the Everts on thursday nights that I really want to see, but there is no EWTN in the hometown of my current college. (Thankfully I'll be transfering to Benedictine College where that will probably be available.) I used to be able to watch online but I can't anymore.

G.K. Chesterton The Apostle of Common Sense is a great series.

EWTN holds a very special place in my heart because it converted me from being a luke-warm catholic to a devout one. Remember to pray for channel flippers. It sure changed my life when I did at the age of 13. I remember years ago enjoying Angel Force and The Storykeepers. Sure the acting was bad in Angel Force in the beginning but it got better. Besides I could see past all of that and see the beauty and sincerity of what they were conveying.
