RezaMikhaeil
I'd like to check out some beats you have for sale when there available.
I've got beats for sale, no doubt. You can send an email to StaticIdentification@gmail.com If you're planning on giving your project away for free here on phatmass, and dust is willing to promote it here, I've got some beats that I'd be willing to give to you for no cost, providing I get to mix the track and obviously your quality of recording would have to be half way decent.
I dont think all "evenagelical" rappers are against the catholic faith. I think some have questions about it and there are surely some misunderstandings. I would be curious to see what christian rappers have openly came out against the cathoilc faith in their music ? I'm sure there has to be some and I have heard some of this in cross movement's music. I would love to see a list though with the artist and the lyrics.
Not all Evangelical rappers or Evangelicals in general are anti-catholic, that was never my intention to propagate that, but there is opposition, nonetheless. There is some anti-catholicism in evangelical rappers songs, but mostly what I'd seen is unspoken. Rappers may not say their anit-catholic, and their lyrics may not say so, but talking to them in person is different. If you were to ask several of these evangelical rappers if you they'd allow a catholic rapper to perform at one of their shows, the answer is often times, "no" because of the difference in religious beliefs, which is more hidden but still the same. I was once asked to be on a track, by an evangelical rappers, who's name I'm going to keep silent, in which one of the lines in his song was mocking the liturgy. He surprisingly knew nothing about Coptic Orthodox, so he was unaware that we also have a similiar liturgy. At the time, I wasnt bold enough to stand up to him, so I just told him that I wasn't inspired to write to the beat, wasn't feeling it [a common way of saying I don't want to be part of the song]. Alot of Evangelical Churches that I'd performed at many years ago, would allow a catholic rapper to perform in their churches, but only if they didn't perform songs that were specifically catholic and were more general like Mars ill projects.
I can write lyrics the gospel should be free but i guess you need the equiptment to build a studio in the garage and the mastering equiptment etc so maybe i would try and make some money to build that first and yeah than give away for free at youth groups or sell some after you have the quip for 10 dollars(aus 7 U.S) for 10 songs and give the donations to some homeless group youth ministries or drop it in the church tray heaps of places the funds could goto to help hands on groups.I'd even go as far as to have it examined by the bish and get a nihil obstant(out with the trash and in with the pearls),but would you just give it away or just in church circles( the whole don't cast your pearls before swine?) even if i had a job why sit and watch t.v at night, write some poetry make some music try and make the world a community again and sub-due fear and over indulgence in materialism.Maybe sell them all and set up a group that will pay your electricity bill in winter and or rent and local phone bill and food vouchers in emergencies, especially for families ?
This is the particular point. It takes so much to put an album together, particularly an album that is appealing to the ear. I'd been recording for over a decade, before I'd gotten on that level where it felt like the songs that I'd been making were worth listening to... Even if you're the greatest rapper in the world that has natural talent and to which needs no practice [which is highly unlikely, even according to Legendary Battle Rapper P.e.a.c.e. of Freestyle Fellowship and Percee P], you've put out money on the vocal tracking, the mixing phase, and mastering. Tracking: Many people decide to get their own studio together, which is great, the problem is that many people, after having a studio, decide that their better off going to a professional studio because of their lack of knowledge of the gear. You may own the equipment, but it doesn't mean that you know how to use it, and even if you know the basics, if you pay to go to a studio, you're not necessarily paying to use the gear, but the experience of the engineer. Mixing: Many people try and mix their own songs, but in reality it takes a special ear to make a record sound good. Murs had DJ Quik mix his last record and after that his comments were, "I didn't realize the past mixes that I'd done sounded horrible until Quik had made the mixes sound great" I'd mixed my own songs but I've been in the studio since I was 15 and now I'm 28, and even now, going back and listening to the mixes from Static Identification and other albums that I'd mixed, I see areas that could use work. Known Hiphop Artists like Gray Skul, Sleep of Oldominion, and the list goes on, don't track their own songs and don't mix their own songs because thou their very knowledgable about the recording process and have been doing music professionally for over two decades, don't feel that they've got the ear to make it sound as good as it should. Mastering: Even if you purchase the equipment necessary to master, it takes a very special ear to master a record. There's a science to it, and it's so important that wav sounds don't get over compressed, that the eq is tuned to perfection, and the list goes on, that for a serious artist that believes that their album is not just a mixtape but is something serious, I'd never attempt this phase by yourself. If you pay money to have Ryan Foster [Frequency Mastering], Bernie Grundman Mastering, Bradley Mastering, Frankford Wayne Mastering, or Zeblondak from Oldominion master your record, it's going to be the best thing that you'd ever paid money for in your life. Financially: Mastering cost between $500-$2000 Mixing cost approx.: $500-$900 Tracking is approx: $50-$100 an hr. Instrumental Production: $100-$500 per beat. Manufacturing is approx: $1,100-$2,000 for 1,000 copies Add those prices onto having to support a family and that's why people are trying to get as much as possible for their music. I try and be reasonable by asking for $10 for 22 songs [2 discs], but it's tempting to ask for more because it's difficult. It's worse, as I'd mentioned previously, when online retailers try and take half the profits. It just doesn't seem fair.
KJ52 talks about some kind of Vatican conspiracy in one of his songs, I wish i had the wit to straight from the top of my dome say to something like " The only thing hidden in the vatican is saint peters bones, under the basillica" haha, if someone jumped at me like that, and walk away. Im kinda slow and because of my brain damage from pot and alcohol i kinda start to steam, 1 year ago i didn't but know again i am. Pray for me please on this NO POT and Drink Don't Drunk.
It's disheartening to hear that sort of cheap shot, but I try not to let it get to me. I'm conscious of it, and I'm not silent on it, but I try not to focus on it. I just try and challenge it, through example, asking Catholic Hiphop Artists if I can perform with them, if they'd like to perform wit me, etc. Reza

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Nice sounds like a hook, Reza and delivery boy, rezin' deli bo ? haha and i do understand the costs involved especially for families, can one not make a studio and than employ an engineer to come over and mix with, and if not is that an industry that can be explored and bought in. I had a brother of a friend release an album from his garage studio and it sounded like 50cent crossed with tupac, and the sound quality was average but not terrible. And yes i guess possibly upto 50 percent of christian artists may actually be married. I'd still like to see a kitty chuck in of all christian artists, denominational or non-denominational for some seriouse charity work, paying the electricity of a family that can't pay that winter, and the other stuff i said in a previous thread , Without telling anyone or promoting it(The whole not blowing the trumpet when coming to the temple thing). I believe GOD would elevate possibly not only the popularity but our content and ability to deliver the gospel correctly, and who knows even possibly popularity. Hey also know if one is to boast he is to boast in the works of lord, (does this mean in our life and what he has achieved), so i guess if we examine what where writing some artists could drop a top 40 " i wanna be with you" or "out the door" type stuff, as long as the whole album wasn't just full of it. Unsure how the industry works. I listen to alot of evangelical rap/hiphop and possibly i haven't heard much but is there any artists trying to pop a top 40 with a couple of songs on an album to draw in any say prodigals to purchase the album that are straying a bit and trying to push away and haven't heard much christian stuff or some way down the track guys like me from the 90's whom only found out the existance of christian hipyhop when going back to church. Possibly a drive like that with multiple successes over an extended period might smash a hole in the market for some evangelical stuff. But most of all call back some of the lost between the ages of 26-40 that haven't been awakened to that church(christ) is still there and the best way to amend ones life. A kinda sucker punch to purchase the album and than bam haha.... i don't know, alot of people have heard of christian hiphop but i'm very sure alot of people that belong to christ and he wants them back havent ? Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
PEACE, Jeah, Build the kitty up to like a few mill first (i know i'm probably dreaming haha), than start on small projects like food vouchers and paying a few electricity bills in winter, as long as the people haven't dodged there electricity bill for 2 years or something, sending a few lone mothers and fathers whom are addicts to a good re-hab so they can get there children back or sumfin'. But have a code if the media catches on no artist is alowed totalk about or boast about it. And see if the kitty explodes into a full on charity organisation. Are there any charities that pay for families electricity bill to get through winter or 4 weeks rent if there about to be evicted, or lone mothers and fathers whom have addictions and the heart ache of not having there children compounds there addiction, hey or even with the lone mothers and fathers also find out whom is catholic and get em a year at a monastry even if they would like all expenses paid, i guess detox would have to be paid for first, and drive em where they need to go, not just send a check and say go for, these people are heart broken and need a ride. haha Somone could call the project City of Dreams. ? Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
But if the first kitty of 3 mill just ran out and didn't work than well we tried, but if it did and even multiplied? At least the single artists, and you know even the family guys and gals can put in a smaller amount, whatever. some kinda royalty put on christian artists to the children of the king, the poor and destitute ? Imagine if it started multiplying ? And thepeeps that driven roun for deez jus minister az well.
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Hey, joseph dreamed and helped a king and look where he got, after many years in jail though. Actually include the whole christian music industry, on a no talk to media basis for anyone involved.Wouldn't have to ask people for funds because there being given by the artists. If Joseph got such a pay off from an earthly king imagine the pay off for dreaming for the king of kings. Look the world is weighed down by being told anyone can be a millionaire, anyone can be prime-minister/president anyone can this and that of the world, goto antartica see the penguins for 10,000 dollars, fly to the moon for a cool $4 mill, but it isn't quiet reality some just can't be Ronaldino or Mariah Carey or Joe millionaire, it is breeding jeaoulesy and envy, and the little people are turning to lust, anger and gluttony(gluttony of drugs alcohol, food) RARGH! but this what i'm talking is a real way to dream for jesus....... To dream for the king of kings, and tell the world once again that jesus saves, and is king of all not just a personal play toy........... COUP DELA ROSA (cup of the rose) REVOLUTION, SECOND EVANGELISATION OF THE GENTILES. HAHA I have not the means or do not know any christian artists or any such things. But isn't this the wonder of the net and these sights. Hey i'm going to write to the A.C.L. (australian christian lobby) is that in U.S.A as well ( a multi denominational and non-denominational christian political lobby body?) write to them and if you can hook something up write to the a.c.l as well write this email and if something starts to hum get the aussie artists on board as well...natoffice@acl.org...thats the australian christian lobby these guys may know there U.S counterpart...if enough artists can stir up interest the christian lobbies may help put it together. Sooooooooooooo Craaaaaaaaaaaaaazy it might work. Hey Delivery boy, remeber thiz bro , that jesus said repentant sinners are getting into heaven before hypocrites. And truely one day JESUS is going to set you free from sin and you will recieve 100 fold what the enemy has taken from you and your impact will be equally 100 fold... REPENT AND BE SAVED AND BELIEVE IN THE GOOD NEWS ALLELUIA GOD is GOOD GOD is LOVE JESUS is LORD ( GOD saves)
RezaMikhaeil
It was difficult to follow some of your posts, but I'm going to attempt to reply accordingly. I'm down to help raise money and awareness for charity and philanthropy. I'm involved in it, but I don't parade it. I'm giving a portion of album sales of Static Identification to charity/philanthropy, I just don't usually tell people because I don't want people to see me as anything more then a sinner. I'm working with Muslims, by being involved with the Morocco Foundation that helps those in need in Morocco, such as providing meals, medications, wheelchairs, etc. I'm also involved in giving money to people that are having difficulties paying their light bills, just as you were saying. I'd be more then willing [and have been saying this for a while] to contribute to such a project, my problem is that those that are in a position to help promote a project, those that are in a position to get involved with such a project, aren't interested. I'm going to do it solo, if nobody else is down, I've been doing it solo for quite some time. As unfortunate as it sounds, I mostly partner with Muslims whom see it as their Zakat [1 of the pillars of Islam], because their more passionate about helping the poor, which I'm thankful for but I'd like to partner with more people. That's kinda why I'm down to pretty much work with whomever. Financially I'm poor [working different side jobs and hustling to get different financial sponsorers], and my wife's income [as a nursing assistant] often helps to provide, but we're having faith that the more that time goes on, we're going to be cool.
