And you don't know if GOD is for mandatory celibacy in the priesthood. And if He isn't it changes this situation a little bit. That's why I said you should hold back your judgement. I can easily say, "What if God wants me to go out and have sex with multiple partners?" geez..... The Catholic Church doesn't make up her own rules. Everything is inspired by the Almighty God. If you don't believe this fundamental view of the Faith, then you can easily dismiss any rule you don't agree with and say, "Well, God and me share the same opinion on this matter." I'm not trying to cause trouble, I'm asking because I do not know. Did he later admit that he was having an affair with this woman, or is everyone assuming that he is?
