Vincent Vega
I'm thinking of joining up next year after I graduate. I very much respect the work they do in the prolife movement in the US.

Dan
My husband has his tux, but I'm not sure they are ready to trust him in public with a sword.
Fairly recently, the 4th Degree Knights were asked to process into the church prior to Mass which was being held to honor a recently deceased long-time member. There were approximately 2 dozen of us, with swords drawn and held in the form of a cross, that took up positions at the ends of the pews extending from the first row back. During the homily, the pastor mentioned how intimidated he felt walking in front of a couple of dozen guys with swords. The congregation broke up. Ziggamafu
Yeah...I can't earn the fourth degree for a year, anyway. Or is it six months? You know, I kept on wrestling with the decision to become a Knight. I took it very seriously (which is a good thing) but I think I made it out to be something that it is not, like a religious order. Looking from the inside out now, I feel really, really stupid. I wish I would have signed up right out of RCIA. I can't WAIT to start doing all of the activities...it is amazing feeling like you are a part of something so positive and beneficial and realizing that all of the necessary structure and order is there to help you really get into the corporal works of mercy, no matter what your schedule. And the feeling of comradeship with other brothers is intense. I have been wearing an emblem of the Knights on my clothing every day since I was initiated! Every man should be a Knight. Just awesome. I'm glad you are taking it with great pride, and are very excited about the Order. Some councils do a magnificant job in helping the parish community, while others seem to be rather on the bland/dead side of things (activity wise). I'm fortunate to be in a active council, and I hope yours is the same. If you have any questions, just PM me. In service to One, in service to all! Vivat Jesus!!!!!! He's also kind of klutzy, so our priest wouldn't just be intimidated, he'd be hiding in the sacristy.
