Hassan
No. That is denying parents their rights. I never said the state should deny parents their rights.
Yes you are. Catholic Children are recieving a free public education and non Christian parents are being forced to pay for the prostelatizing of children, perhapse their own. If parents do not want Catholicism pushed on their children they have to either home school them or send them to private schools. Either way non Catholic parents must either allow their children to be pulled away from their faith or lack thereof by a state institution, or take extraordionary measures (either commanding up wealth to pay for private schools or one parent stay home to homeschol) all the while paying for the prostelization. Socrates
well in each part of the world its the state. they grants rights that say if you choose to live in this country you must follow these rules. God grants u the right to life and free will but the state grants us rights to live on their property.
That's a VERY scary line of thought there. If the state is what grants us rights, then the state can just as easily take them away. Are you saying you consider private property to really be the property of the state? Hitler and Stalin thought the same way. Denial of property rights is the denial of one of the most basic human freedoms.
except for those people who don't believe in God. They don't think their rights come from God. Although still some rights do come from the state. Like in America, I have the right to speak out against the government and not be put to death. In North Korea, I do not have that right.
That proves the point right there. North Korea is an atheistic dictatorship where rights are seen as coming from the state, rather than from God. It is also one of the most repressive regimes in the world.
