I have always been a fan of mystery stories. On another note, this one is only PG! I hope they didn't "tame it" because, although it would be more accessable to younger audiences, it may not be as intense as it could be. But it looks plenty exciting! I think that the movies are okay. I tried reading the first Harry Potter book but didn't like it. I'm totally a Chronicles of Narnia fan. Though I'm not a fan of the new Chronicles that have come out recently. They don't get all of the stories right and even have doctrine problems. For the most part the BBC Chronicles of Narnia series, scores much higher with me.
rizz_loves_jesus
So excited!! I have to say, though, I don't think the Ginny in the movies has had as much personality as the Ginny in the books has. I really hope they don't ruin her character

goldenchild17
I just finished the series. Very interesting storyline, definitely don't think the movies do it justice
the lords sheep
I'd hate to be the one who tried to condense those bigger books into one movie script. That's an impossible task.
They're actually going to make the 7th book into 2 movies, because they felt that they couldn't cut out anything and to leave it as 1 film would mean it would be about 6-7 hours long. sarcasmguy126
Personally, I have not seen the 5th movie yet, but I have seen the first 4. The first two were great, and true to the books, even if they were all little tykes...esp. in the first one. The third movie, however, was possibly the most boring movie I have ever seen in my life! He faints EVERY time the Dementors come near, which happens frequently throughout the film! Provided, I hadn't read the books yet, and even though that's what happened in the book, I found myself falling under a different spell...the kind that makes you want to fall asleep! I couldn't believe all the critics were like, "All hail this magnificent third movie!" It was a snoozer. As usual, the book was much, much better. Apotheoun
Fascinating! . . . as Spock would say. The third film (and book) is my favorite.
CatherineM
I think I liked Order of the Phoenix best. It was hardest to read because of the abuse, but the stuff the Weasley twins were pulling was much better in the book than the movie.
