In the final movie he'll be about three years older than Harry is in the final book. Compared to many other movies and TV shows produced in Hollywood the actor playing Harry will be closer to the character's age than is the norm.

Greed will make a movie studio do many things.

The reason for the move is so that they can increase the opening weekend take at the box office.

I still wish the movie had been released last Thanksgiving.

I was about to say... yeah I hate watching movies about high schoolers especially. All the actors are at least 4-5 or so years older than they should be.

anyways, I just started reading the HP series. Don't know if I'll go see it in theaters or not though.

I saw the first three films before I started reading the book series, and I must admit that I like those films more than the newer ones. I especially liked the third film.

I began reading the books after watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and since finishing the books I must admit that I do not enjoy the newer films as much as the first three movies, because I keep thinking about what is missing from the film versions.

I'd hate to be the one who tried to condense those bigger books into one movie script. That's an impossible task.

The 4th movie is my least favorite BECAUSE, although they tried to stuff it as full of important material as they could, they still left out much important matter like Winky the house-elf subplot, and other things. And in the movie, when they discover that Crouch is the Mad-Eye impostor, they're like, "Oh, look, an impostor!" In the book, he played a bigger role.

And did the Pope really write letters to someone that condemned these books?

It was mainly because of Twilight that came out. They thought that too many big fan movies basied off of such popular books would be bad competition. They didn't want fans to be torn from what I heard. Funny how the guy who was the male lead in Twilight was in the fourth Harry Potter. I heard it being compared to The Goblet of Fire where Harry Potter really does compete against his character. Ah the parallel...

:smokey: The Harry Potter Puppet Pals totally rock! Last year at the Halloween party at my school some students did their own Harry Potter play that was humorous too. I remember how the one who played Dumbledor announced that Voldermort was coming to attack Hogwarts and when one of the kids, maybe Hermoine or Ron asked what they were going to do about it and Dumbledor said, "I don't know" and then just ran away. :lol_above:

I'm a member of the Facebook group "The 7th Harry Potter movie better be 7 hours long". ;)

I just saw the second one on TV...for the second time. However, they cut out a scene or two to make it shorter for TV. But it was still as good as the first time I saw it...uncut! The Tom Riddle diary is very brilliant.
