This is a very basic question about this work, but I couldn't find it anywhere online or searching for it here, so I thought I should ask in this forum. In the first chapter of The Spiritual Ascents Zerbolt talks about five points necessary to make progress in the spiritual life, but he only names the first four. Does anyone know what the fifth point is? Thank you!

May God bless and protect you always in all of your endeavors!

Your Brother in Christ,

Joe

Here is a link to the book in full view (google).

So I just read the first four chapters, and then the table of Contents. In the first chapter he only describes four Ascents and the last one seems final. In the table of contents there are also only four mentioned. I think that the translation must be wrong. I am trying to find the German or Latin to confirm.

All the German editions were either not full view or not free. So I am at a loss.
