Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I caught a bit of the news this evening, and they had a segment where they were going to 'give' Susan a professional makeover. Seriously? Are we that obsessed with making everyone look perfect? I mean, it was all digital, but still...
CatherineM
Well, she could use some eyebrow help. Even I'm vain enough that I thin out my uni-brow.

That's a fact and I don't know why people are so PC about it. Since when is beauty the enemy??? It's not about "looking perfect", it's about improving one's appearance and maximizing one's potential. The body is a temple after all; why shouldn't we treat it like one?

Galloglasses' Alt
Ah yes, I remember seeing that on the night. The second she sang it was one of those moments you could tell entire countries gasped.

Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I never intended to say that beauty was the enemy, but I think we should find beauty in what we are given and what we have. We should find beauty in our natural appearance. I am not saying that we should all cast aside all make-up, let facial hair run loose, and never brush our hair again. That would just be crazy talk! We must look at least presentable and clean. I agree that some things would make her look 'better', but I see no need for them. I happen to really like her eyebrows. They are thick and a little unruly, but I like them the way they are. They are a part of her. I think that society has become progressively more vain when it comes to appearances. I too can be quite vain about my own appearance and even those around me at times. She is not ugly (not that anyone has said that). I think she is charming the way she is, and that is all I have to say.
